5 Your reflection What did you think of Caine and his arcade After watching the Caine s Arcade video I found it very inspiring and very interesting to see how Caine an ingenious 9 year old boy with his imagination his creativity was able to design and create an arcade I think the best part of the story was seeing Caine s effort come to fruition There were a lot of positive changes like Caine suddenly reaching a lot of clients creating a fundraising foundation for Caine studies and seeing a child s creativity result in the making of a filmmaker s story 6 How can teachers use this information to create innovative hands on learning experiences for children Watch the second video for ideas before responding Teachers can use this information 7 Why is it important to give children opportunities to learn through building and constructing things Look in the book and review content from previous modules to support your ideas Children can learn by creating and constructing things because they must apply reasoning and critical thinking abilities every time they build and develop a structure or even a whole planet They must also solve problems when something does not work as they expected These abilities are what allow children to grow into self sufficient and successful people
