Didi is the Komodo dragon at the Atlanta Zoo She is a female and maybe one day she will be able to make offspring on her own Is this possible yes but she could only have male offspring since the embryo will come from an unfertilized egg yes it can happen yes and she would only be able to produce viable homozygote male offspring no it cannot happen since Komodo dragons are reptiles and they reproduce only sexually yes but the offspring would be haploid since females are the heterogametic sex in this species
