Maladaptiveness: which option sounds more maladaptive? - in the third episode of "The curse of Mr. Bean ", in the places of the swimming pool, Lunch in the park, and the horror film we could see maladaptiveness. -Another thing is when he goes to the pool and plays on the kid's slides, the reason the lifeguard was preventing that from happening not because he wanted Mr. Bean is stubborn but because it's dangerous if he mishandles it he climbs up to a very high rack in the pool even though he's scared of heights and instead of going down he attempts to jump and people can't wait for him to make the move so the kids push him. -The horror movie incident was unique because it's more of a personality perspective test because he held out a thing looking like a knife to a man, if he assumed it was a real knife he could've killed him as a means of self defense with a weapon since I hear stories in the news like that. Mr. Bean in that sense is torturing himself and so are the people around him in movie theater because he's terrified of it and almost had a heart attack but he's remaining seated because the perplexed around him forces him to watch the movie despite jumping everywhere as a defense mechanism worried about the time and money more than the moment of fear he's encountering with his girlfriend who's trying to contain herself.
