An older man complaining of abdominal pain and suffering

An older man complaining of abdominal pain and suffering from bloody diarrhea received treatment with vancomycin and fidaxomicin. After a week of finishing the treatment the man returned with recurrent signs and symptoms. What is the causative agent of this infection? What would you recommend as a treatment for this infection?
