Two submarines are underwater and traveling directly away from each other. Sub 1 has a speed of 12 m/s and sub 2 has a speed of 16 m/s. Sub 1 sends out a 1820-Hz sonar wave that travels at a speed of 1532 m/s. (a) Determine the frequency detected by sub 2 (to the nearest Hz). (b) Part of the sonar wave sent from sub 1 is reflected off of sub 2 and returns to sub 1. Determine the frequency sub 1 detects from this reflected wave (to the nearest Hz).
